Donna Ibbotson, LCSW,
Social Work Supervisor

Donna joined Lilliput Children's Services in 2001 as a social worker and was promoted to social work supervisor in July of 2007. She has helped to develop the agency’s gay and lesbian parenting support group and training on working with gay and lesbian adoptive families both in the home study process and in a clinical setting. In addition, Donna has trained prospective adoptive families in the areas of grief and loss, the impact of physical and sexual abuse on children, positive parenting, and cultural competency in transracial adoptions. She has presented at national conferences such as NACAC and CWLA on gay and lesbian parenting in adoption.

Donna has been a social work field supervisor to MSW students from California State University in Sacramento.

Donna earned her BA in Psychology and Master’s of Social Work from CSU-Sacramento and obtained her LCSW in October of 2001.

Donna has worked in residential treatment, Non-Public Schools and Foster Care and has over 20 years experience working with children and families.
