Karen Alvord, LCSW Executive Director

Karen Alvord, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, joined Lilliput Children's Services in 1989, serving as Executive Director since January, 2006. Karen earned her Bachelors of Social Work degree from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, and a Masters in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento.

She is a graduate of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Sacramento program. She provides training at national conferences on a variety of adoption related topics, including kinship care. She has also provided training and consultation for child welfare agencies. Karen serves on the board of Voice for Adoption and as a board member and chair of the Adoption Committee of the California Alliance of Child and Family Services.
