Letter from the Executive Director of Lilliput
As Lilliput celebrates 30 years of providing services to children and
families, we invite you to Dream Big with us. We believe that all children
need and deserve a family, ideally the family that they were born into.
Unfortunately, far too many children are born into circumstances that do not
afford them a healthy childhood. When parents are unable to take care of
their children, Lilliput steps in to help them find a family that can provide
them with love, safety and a life-long commitment.
Thanks to the commitment of our families, the expertise of our Lilliput team,
the collaboration of our public and private agency partners, and the
generosity of our supporters, Lilliput can proudly say that we are making a
difference in the lives of thousands of children. These children might
otherwise linger in foster care or age out of the child welfare system
without any connection to loving parents and no family system to support
them into their adulthood.
Children turning 18 should be thinking about what they will wear to prom;
planning for their graduation from high school; making decisions about what
career, college or vocational education or training they will pursue. It is
sad to see the numbers of our children who have no such dreams, plans or hope
for a bright future. Lilliput is committed to restoring hope for the
thousands of children who are waiting for a family to call their own. We are
committed to empowering families with the resources they need to help these
children heal and thrive.
We challenge you to Dream Big with us. What can you do to help us change a
child’s life?
