Social Work and Clinical Internships
Lilliput offers internships for undergraduate and graduate
students in the Master’s of Social Work (MSW) or Master’s of Counseling
programs of accredited college, university or professional schools
throughout the Northern California region. Our partnerships include UC
Berkeley School of Social Welfare, CSU Sacramento, CSU Stanislaus, CSU
Chico, CSU Humboldt, University of Phoenix and William Jessup University.
Interns can expect their field experience to include
exposure to the field of child welfare in the area of permanency-focused
work that includes foster care, kinship care and adoptions. Weekly
individual supervision and bi-monthly group supervision is provided, in
addition to training. According to the needs in the various regions that we
serve, there are opportunities to work in our community-based services
programs or within the clinical services arena. Interns are supervised by a
supervisor or social worker with a MSW, LCSW, MA or MFT and at least 5 years
field experience.
Interested applicants are encouraged to check with our programs early in the
year preceding the start of their programs to determine what internships are
available.
For internship opportunities, please contact our
Sacramento Headquarters and ask for the Clinical
Director (for Counseling internships) or for a Regional Program Manager near
your location.
Partnerships in Training
On occasion Lilliput partners with other resources to create
