Social Worker
Under direction of a Social Work Supervisor, the Social Worker conducts adoptive
home studies for relative and non-relative families, develops, coordinates, and
supervises treatment plans for children in foster/adopt homes; recruits,
evaluates, and certifies foster/adopt homes; and arranges for training for
permanency planning parents.Social Worker
Qualifications
Social Worker must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate school
of social work; must have background in individual and group behavior, as well
as family relationships and developmental theory; must have knowledge of
psychosocial and psychotherapeutic methods and sources; must have knowledge of
physical and mental illnesses and their effects on personality; must have
ability to establish rapport with children and their families as well as working
effectively within the agency and the social work community at large. Must
possess a valid California Driver’s License and state required registration and
insurance for any personal vehicle driven for agency business. Live Scan
fingerprint clearances and medical clearance are mandatory before the first day
of work. All clearances are required to finalize employment.
Case Manager
Under direction of a Social Work Supervisor or Program Director, the Case
Manager conducts home-based case management services for relative and
non-relative, as well as extended family members. This position also develops,
coordinates, and supervises family service plans, assesses and identifies family
needs, and connects family to available kinship resources.
Kinship Parent Liaison
Under direction of a Social Work Supervisor or Program Director, the Kinship Parent
Liaison provides in-home support to kinship and non-related extended family
members. This position supports kinship program outreach and recruitment and
requires experience raising a relative's child.
Post Adoption Parent Liaison
Under direction of a Social Work Supervisor or Program Director, the Post
Adoption Parent Liaison provides direct services to adoptive families, as well
as coordinates a variety of social events and support services. Experience as an
adoptive parent is desired.
Senior Social Worker
Under the supervision of the Social Work Supervisor, the Senior Social Worker
conducts the work of a Social Worker in addition to other responsibilities that
may include mediation, group clinical supervision, graduate field internship
supervision, and facilitating parent support groups. Requirements include a MSW
in addition to being certified as a LCSW. Must have knowledge of children and
families and developmental and psychosocial theories that direct practice with
these groups. Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Social Work Supervisor
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Social Work Supervisor
assures maintenance of the agency program through supervision of social work
staff.
Requirements include a MSW, LCSW and two years of adoption-related experience.
Must have demonstrated skills in supervision, communication, training, and
program administration. Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Executive Assistant
Under supervision of the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant creates and
expedites reports, projects, general clerical work, travel, and other
assignments for the Executive Director and Assistant Director. This position has
responsibility for the administrative support of the Executive and Assistant
Directors. The Executive Assistant is required to have at least three years of
office/clerical work with progressively greater responsibility, preferably,
experience as an Executive Assistant. Minimum typing speed is 55 words per
minute.
Office Manager
Under the general supervision of the Executive
Director, the Office Manager is responsible for performing a variety of functions which
involve the activities of clerical and office personnel, and office equipment.
This position supervises the activities of office personnel to perform
secretarial and clerical duties and other duties as required. Minimum typing
speed is 45 words per minute. Must be competent with computers and be proficient
in Windows 95/98/2000/XP and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn
Microsoft Access, PowerPoint & Publisher is required. Must possess a valid
California Driver’s License.
Finance
Administrative Assistant
The Finance Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Staff Accountant
and is the primary administrative support person for the finance department.
Duties include the maintenance of various spreadsheets including data entry and
report compilation. Additional tasks may include general office duties such as
filing, routing mail, making copies of billings and matching receipts to payable
invoices.
Administrative Assistant
Under supervision of Office Manager
or the Social Work Supervisor, the
Administrative Assistant does general clerical work and typing of average
ability. Qualifications: Administrative Assistant is required to have at least
two years of office/clerical work requiring typing. Minimum typing speed is 55
words per minute. Must be competent with computers and be proficient in Windows
95/98/2000/XP and Microsoft Word 2000/2003. Knowledge of Microsoft
Excel/Access/PowerPoint & Publisher, a plus. The Administrative Assistant is
expected to know basic filing systems, use of office machines, and is expected
to work well and communicate effectively with employees and public. Must possess
a valid California Driver’s License.
Office Assistant
Under the direction of the Social Work Supervisor or the
Office Manager, the Office Assistant performs a variety of entry level clerical
duties of a routine and recurring nature and provides back-up support to the
Administrative Assistant(s).
Program Director
The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of program management in
their assigned region. Responsibilities include the direct supervision of both
supervisory and program staff in addition to program development and management.
The Program Director establishes and maintains positive working relationships
with public agency managers and community based organizations and facilitates
the growth and stability of programs in their region.
