We have come up with a list of 10 Halloween activities that the whole family will love.

  1. Haunted houses – A quick Google search should list all the haunted houses in your area. If you have younger children you should look for a family friendly haunted house as some may not be suitable for all ages.
  2. Pumpkin patches – Let the kids explore and choose their own pumpkins at a local Pumpkin Patch.
  3. Make and decorate Carmel Apples – A sweet and fun treat that will showcase everyone’s creativity.
  4. Costume fashion show – Take out all the costumes from years past and put on a fashion show for the whole family. A great opportunity to give an old costume a chance to become a new favorite.
  5. Family friendly scary movie night – grab some popcorn and enjoy a scary movie with the family.
  6. Neighborhood scavenger hunt/bingo – make a simple scavenger hunt or bingo sheet and go around your neighborhood to see how many Halloween items can be found.
  7. Carve pumpkins – this classic tradition lets everyone express their creativity and display their personality. *involves sharp knives, parental supervision and assistance is necessary*
  8. Roast Pumpkin Seeds – After you’ve carved your pumpkins, turn the discarded seeds into a Fall treat no one can resist. Just preheat the oven to 300 degrees, toss the cleaned seeds in melted butter and a dash of salt, arrange on a cookie sheet and cook for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Paint pumpkins – If you’re looking to keep knives and children separate this year, try decorating your family’s pumpkins with paint! This allows for more design and character options, while keeping everyone safe and it can last much longer than a traditionally carved pumpkin.
  10. Participate in a costume contest – a good old fashion Halloween costume contest is always a lot of fun, check with your local city or near by malls to see who'll be throwing the best contest and offering the best prizes. Contest are always free and a great way for the whole family to show of their costumes!
