This is such an incredible organization...

Anne Nash was a board member of Lilliput from 2010 through 2016 and board president for two of those years. She shares her thoughts about the importance of planned giving to Lilliput, a part of Wayfinder Family Services. The planned gift from Anne and her husband, Jim, makes them members of Wayfinder’s Legacy Society, which ensures the good work of Lilliput and all Wayfinder programs will continue for future generations of children.

Why did you decide to establish a planned gift?

Being a board member afforded me the knowledge of how they put their mission into action and their fiscal responsibility. I saw firsthand how impactful their work is in the community. And I wanted to ensure that my contribution would continue after I’m gone.

How did you feel when you made this long-term commitment?

It was an overwhelming feeling. This is such an incredible organization, and my husband and children fully support my decision. We feel fortunate to be able to make this commitment.

What do you hope your planned gift will accomplish?

I hope that this gift will allow the organization to continue another 40 years, to provide the remarkable support and resources to our most vulnerable—the children. Lilliput offers a lifeline to children and families. Planned giving gifts allow Lilliput to plan for the future.

What would you tell someone considering making a planned gift?

It was one of the best feelings that I have ever had. It does my heart good to know that the organization will benefit from my continued support.
