0361 – Program Assistant – Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, The Program Assistant performs a specialized administrative role independently. The Program Assistant uses judgment based on experience to evaluate situations and develop solutions and works independently to achieve assignment outcomes. Experience in complex scheduling of multiple appointments in multiple locations.

Highly organized and able to muti-task a variety of assignments in a timely manner. Completes and documents intake with prospective program participants prior to meeting with a visitation coach.

Assists in the coordination, organization and logistical support of ongoing groups and program activities such as arranging meeting space, confirming attendance and providing additional support as needed.

Collects client paperwork and responsible for filing appropriately in client files and entering information into the database.

Qualifications:

·         Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and data entry.

·         Minimum keyboard skills of 55 WPM.

·         Mastery of the English language including the ability to edit and ensure grammatical correctness of written materials in English.

·         Required to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisors, employees and the public.

Strong listening skills. 

Problem solving with the ability to assess a safety issue and report concerns to supervisors.

Demonstrated patience and flexibility when working with children and adults.

0363 – MSW Social Worker (RFA Kin) – Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, our Master’s level Social Workers provide services in our Resource Family Approval Program for primary kinship families. Working with our county partners, social workers will provide case management, in home supportive services, resource navigation, resource family group training and other case management tasks. Other duties may include duties such as conducting family evaluations for prospective resource families and conducting trainings to both large and small groups.  The ideal candidate will effectively apply casework knowledge and skills and possess excellent interpersonal skills to engage and establish rapport with multi and inter-generational families within diverse communities. The candidate will possess strong writing skills and be flexible, dynamic and punctual, with the ability to work independently. This position requires occasional evening/weekend work.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work required. Two years’ experience in child welfare and with kinship families and foster care is desired. Must be able to work independently. 0355- Office Assistant/Play Care provider – Full-Time/ (40 hours per week)

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Office Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties to support our Citrus Heights office.  The ideal Office Assistant is a motivated, quick learner, with great time management skills who can work independently, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities depending on the needs of a large office. They should have hands-on experience with all common office equipment such as a copier, fax machine and postage meter and have an understanding of basic office procedures. Front office experience is preferred.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 6 months of administrative experience, preferably in a social service setting. 0342– Bilingual Program Assistant/Play Care Provider – Full-Time (32 hours per week) 

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Program Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties to our programs.  The candidate should be an experienced Program Assistant who is a motivated, quick learner who can work independently and prioritize a full workload. The candidate will have excellent time management skills with the ability to follow through to completion on all tasks with minimal supervision, and ability to use available resources for problem solving. On an as needed basis, the candidate will provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for children in a play care setting; supervising and engaging children in recreational activities and ensuring all children are checked in and out of play care according to agency protocols. Knowledge of positive discipline and basic group/classroom management techniques, and demonstrated patience and flexibility when working with children will be required.

Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish) required. Must have at least 2 years of administrative experience in a social services setting. 0361 – Parent Partner – Part-Time (10 hours per week)

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, the Parent Partner will assist with community outreach and recruitment of kinship families. In addition, the Parent Partner will; promote, assist and advocate in the connection of kinship families to available resources for permanency for families and children, including legal resources, mental health education, respite care and counseling. Collaborate with the Case Manager, Social Worker, or other staff in the evaluation of families, the provision of services, and their progress. Facilitate the development of, and participate in, local advisory boards, support groups and other relevant community meetings. Coach/model appropriate communication, anger management, problem solving, stress management and/or parenting issues with caregivers. The successful candidate will effectively apply casework knowledge and skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, to engage and establish rapport with multi- and inter-generational families.

 

Additional requirements:

Experience as a kinship caregiver.

Ability to work with limited supervision.

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and navigation of community resources.

Must have ability to establish rapport with intergenerational and intercultural families, and to work effectively within the agency and the social services community at large.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

0360 –Social Worker Post Adoption Services– Part-Time (20-25 hours per week)

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, our Master’s level Social Workers provide services in our Post Adoption Services (PAS) programs. Working with our county partners, PAS Social Workers support adoptive families as they continue to navigate unique challenges of their adoption journey. PAS Social Workers facilitate trainings and support groups for both children and parents, plan supportive events for adoptive families, assess the psychological, physical, social and emotional needs of post-adoptive families and offer crisis intervention support when needed. The successful candidate will effectively apply casework knowledge and skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to engage and establish rapport with multi- and inter-generational families. The candidate should be flexible and punctual, with the ability to work independently and on some evenings/weekends. 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (LCSW preferred) and experience in Adoption services and/or child welfare required. Ability to work independently.
