The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of Payroll for Lilliput Families.  This position provides leadership of agency payroll activities, including both front and back end of payroll processes, as well as ensuring that all payroll procedures conform to wage and hour regulations.  In addition and as resources allow, this position will support other Finance/HR Benefit activities.  The successful candidate must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.

The successful candidate will focus on the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service and response to field office locations (and home office) around relevant payroll needs.
  • Provide leadership of agency payroll activities, both front and back end of payroll processes. 
  • Oversee and process bi-monthly payroll for approximately 150 employees to meet all deadlines.
  • Ensure all deductions are calculated correctly.
  • Verify all hours, process adjustments and corrections as needed.
  • Verify and confirm pay cycle direct deposits, and distribute manual paychecks.
  • Provide query support/reporting assistance as needed.  Conducts simple analysis and produces various reports as requested.
  • Ensure payroll procedures confirm to wage and hour regulations.
  • Support HR employee benefit and other payroll connected needs.

This position, as all other positions, requires flexibility to perform a variety of other related tasks, as required.  The successful candidate will be expected to provide assistance to other department members as requested. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two to four years of recent payroll processing and coordination experience in a comparable environment. Bachelor’s degree in appropriate business degree preferred.
  • Recent ADP payroll processing software experience highly desired.
  • Experience in or knowledge of nonprofit operations, including fund and grant accounting, compliance and reporting is helpful.
  • Related Human Resources experience a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must meet all required health screening and criminal record clearances, possess a valid California driver’s license, insurance and acceptable DMV record.

0331 – MSW Social Worker (RFA/Kin) – Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, our Master’s level Social Workers provide services in our RFA Program (formerly known as foster care). Working with our county partners, social workers evaluate resource families using the SAFE format and conduct trainings to both large and small groups. They evaluate the psychological, physical, social and emotional factors present in applicants and the environmental factors in the applicant’s home. The ideal candidate will effectively apply casework knowledge and skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to engage and establish rapport with multi- and inter-generational families. The candidate should be flexible, dynamic and punctual, with the ability to work independently and on some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work required. Two years’ experience in child welfare and foster care is desired. Must be able to work independently. Must meet all required health screening, drug testing, criminal record clearances. Must possess a valid California Driver License, insurance and have an acceptable DMV record and their own, reliable transportation.

Under the supervision of the Field Administrative Coordinator, the Play Care Provider will have experience babysitting or working in a child care facility and is flexible, punctual, reliable and dynamic, with the ability to provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for children in a play care setting.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of positive discipline and basic group/classroom management techniques and have demonstrated patience and encouraging approaches when working with children.

Social Worker (PAS) – Part-Time (20 hours/week) Apply Now

Under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, our Master’s level Social Workers provide services in our Post Adoption Services (PAS) programs. This position will work within Mendocino and Lake Counties. Candidate may reside anywhere in this geographic region and work remote from a home office.
Working with our county partners, PAS Social Workers support adoptive families as they continue to navigate unique challenges of their adoption journey. PAS Social Workers facilitate trainings and support groups for both children and parents, plan supportive events for adoptive families, assess the psychological, physical, social and emotional needs of post-adoptive families and offer crisis intervention support when needed. The successful candidate will effectively apply casework knowledge and skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to engage and establish rapport with multi- and inter-generational families.


Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work and experience in Adoption services and/or child welfare required. Ability to work independently and potentially remotely.
